The goal of the Center is to develop the ability to store hydrogen as a chemical system that releases hydrogen spontaneously, controllably at suitable pressures and temperatures, and in amounts consistent with DOE’s targeted hydrogen storage capacity.  The Center is also addressing the equally important need that the spent material be able to be regenerated/recycled at central facilities into fresh hydrogen storage material at a cost consistent with DOE’s cost targets.
